German Diabetes Center

Prof. Dr. Christian Herder is a group leader at the German Diabetes Center and professor (epidemiology) at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, Germany. His key interest is the relevance of inflammatory processes in the development of type 2 diabetes and ist complications. His studies have led to more than 300 peer-reviewed original articles and reviews, which are highly cited (h-index 63). He is General Secretary of the Central European Diabetes Association (CEDA).
